The evening brought together prominent members of the Bay Area community, including guest speakers, Richmond Mayor Gayle McLaughlin, Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates and a special message from Congressman George Miller, to celebrate new beginnings for  persons who are formerly homeless and unemployed, many of whom have disabilities and are among those most marginalized in the Bay Area.

The evening included a wine and hors d’oeuvre reception; a special celebration of inspiring client achievements in becoming self sufficient and successful, in spite of insurmountable odds; and we finished with a dessert reception featuring cakes and treats from Rubicon Bakery!

We’d like to thank our Co-Chairs and Host Committee for their support and commitment to Rubicon over the years, and our generous sponsors who have demonstrated that community partnerships work and do make a difference in the lives of the thousands of Bay Area residents who come to Rubicon for help each year – we couldn’t do it without you!
This year we were privileged to honor client Greg Bell for his strength and hard work to overcome life obstacles.
